Measure K-14 Street Rehabilitation Program

On November 4, 2014 Grover Beach voters approved Measure K-14, the Grover Beach Street Rehabilitation; Safety Improvement Bond Measure. In approving the measure, the City was authorized to issue up to $48 million in bond funds for the repair of local streets over the next 25 years.

City Council approved the first $5 million bond issuance on February 17, 2015. This first bond sale funded three projects as outlined in the 2015 K-14 Street Bond Project Map. These completed projects provided maintenance and repair of 84 city blocks or approximately 7 miles of roadway, representing 20% of all local streets. At the City Council meeting on March 7, 2016, the Council approved the second bond sale of $8 million to fund the next street rehabilitation project. Additional City funds were allocated to perform water and sewer upgrades, sidewalk, as well as curb and gutter upgrades on select streets in addition to paving funded by Measure K-14 bonds.

Current Measure K-14 Street Rehabilitation Project
The current project will provide maintenance and repair of 54 city blocks or approximately 4 miles of roadway. Once completed, a total of 35% of local streets will have received maintenance and repair with Measure K-14 bond funds. This project includes water and sewer upgrades, sidewalk, and curb and gutter upgrades on select streets in addition to paving on the following streets:
