Registration Information

  • Online Payments: Recreation Classes & City Facilities - The Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department now offers online registration and will accept credit card payments. The City is partnering with ActiveNet to provide you the service to register from the convenience of your home computer.

*There are no additional service fees when using your credit card.

  • Tiny Tots Enrichment Program - The Tiny Tots Enrichment Program is a child-enrichment program designed to integrate advanced learning and social skills. Registration is controlled by the contract instructor(s). Instructors will respond within one week with program availability.
  • South County Skate Park - Open every day for FREE! No Staff on Site. Skateboards, Scooters and In-line skates only!
    Open by 9:00 a.m. to Close at dusk
    NOTE: Assembly Bill No. 1146 and City of Grover Beach Municipal Code Article VI, Chapter 4, Sec. 6400 requires all participants to wear helmets, elbow and knee pads while using the South County Skate Park.
  • Tai Chi – Based on Sunday Style Tai Chi, this program uses flowing movements to increase muscular strength and balance while protecting joints and decreasing stress. Class includes warm-up exercises and movement sequences in an innovative teaching format that helps facilitate safe learning. Tai Chi may be performed in a chair or with a walker. Instructor, Dr. Kathryn Phelan, will facilitate this ongoing class utilizing programs developed by Dr. Paul Lam, including Tai Chi for Arthritis, Diabetes, and Rehabilitation.
    Ages: 16 to Adult
    Days: Mondays
    Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    Location: Grover Beach Community Center, 1230 Trouville Avenue
    Fee: $29 per month
  • Acrylic & Oil Painting – This class caters to the first time beginner student, as well as intermediate/advanced artists with prior experience. Instructor Kristopher Doe provides instruction and encouragement in a creative environment. Please ask for a supply when registering.
    Ages: Adult
    Dates: Fridays - August 20th through November 5th
    Times: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Location: Grover Beach Community Center, 1230 Trouville Avenue
    Fee: $220 (12 weeks)
